Weekend in New York

We had a great time this weekend in New York, attending our friends Nancy and Nori's beautiful wedding. The ceremony took place at the Old Stone House in Brooklyn, which was a convenient 1/2 hr from Mike's parents.... so we got to drop off Vince for a nice kid free night. This was our second night ever being away from Vince, thanks to the previous wedding a few weeks ago! It's nice sleeping without interruption through the night, but I must say that Vince has become much better at sleeping throughout the night without a peep.

The flower girl ALMOST made it all the way to where she needed to go, but turned around at the last minute and made a mad dash for mommy

The beautiful Nancy makes her debut

Mike volunteered to be the cinematographer, so he pretty much had the best seat in the house

This wedding was a highly anticipated peace corps reunion party as much as it was a wedding. It was a union of two education groups, as Nancy was in my group and Nori was in the group that came a year after us. It brought together so many amazing people that I haven't seen in so long! We had a great time catching up at a Sunday Brunch in Prospect Park the next day. I REALLY wanted to have Vince along so I dragged Mike with me and drove back to his parents to pick Vince up, then drove all the way back so we could hang out at the park all day. It was a beautiful fall day.... and Vince practiced his walking. He's getting pretty good at it, I do love the waddling, I think it's the most adorable thing I've ever seen!

We walked over to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens and enjoyed the flowers and plants

Here's some recent pictures of Vince from today. Mike was stuck at home with him because he puked all over himself just as they were pulling in to daycare. (kid puking = ticket out of daycare at least 24hrs) He was fine the rest of the day so Mike just got much needed chores around the house done.

This picture of Mike was taken by Vince! His first photograph!!
