Multiple Posts Put Into One

Ok, I've totally been lagging on updating our blog. It's sort of turning into a chore that haunts me now.... hanging over my head as something I keep meaning to get to, but never do! Argh... Well, I'll try to get up to speed on what's been happening with us the last couple of weeks.

We've been in our new house about 6 weeks now, and we've been home for a total of 3 weekends during that time, 2 of which we've had people over to enjoy the pool before we had to close it. That being said, there's still boxes all over the place that need to be opened... with stuff that needs to be put away. I don't understand where all this stuff came from, and why I'm having problems finding a place to put it all away to. Our condo was so much smaller, and it seemed things all had their place. Now in our house, things are laid all over the floor and I can't figure out where it should go! Part of the problem is that we have no bookshelves right now, of which we had built in ones at our Condo... can't take those with us!

Here's a random picture of Vince chilling out on our scooter on a hot day in the garage.

We closed the pool a few weeks ago, and it was a sad day for me. It's been really cold though for a few weeks so guess it was time. I had one last swim when some friends came over, I had to jump in the pool from the diving board or else I wouldn't have done it. The pool was 66 degrees! I swear I almost went into respiratory arrest when I jumped in.... but it was very satisfying once I got back out ha ha! I jumped in a few more times and that was it for the season. Now it looks like a giant trampoline is in our backyard, waiting for some kid to jump up and down on it.

Here's a pic of Vince and Adam hanging out together again, while parents are in the freezing pool. I loved this shot of them looking down at something with the lighting the way it is.

One of the weekends we were home we had Mike's parents come for a visit. They were an amazing help to have around the house. They helped clean up our yard all weekend, working from the time they got to our house until the time they left (the yard needs major help). Mike's mom roped me into planting some flowers in the front yard, something I totally wouldn't have done if I didn't have someone motivating me to do it! But now I'm so glad because it's fun to have some color in the front yard. Mike spent most of that weekend cutting down a dead tree in our backyard. Boy was that a job!!

I think Mike's parents are good luck for getting little ones to start walking, because the weekend they were here Vince started walking further than he had ever before (he'd previously only taken a few steps)! And I hear that's what happened when they were visiting Mike's sister in Atlanta as well... Andrew started taking lots of steps! We caught a bit of Vince's first steps:

Maxie was in heaven as she was unable to be stopped from getting in bed with her Mom and Dad!

Last weekend we went up to North Conway New Hampshire to visit some friends that have a great little house right near the Cathedral Ledge area, which is a beautiful rock climbing area... . Saturday was horribly rainy but we kept busy by visiting a local brewery. Vince was napping the whole time, and one of the workers volunteered to take over strolling him all over the brewery so his parents could enjoy the tour and get some free beer!! He went to more places in that brewery than we did... of course he was passed out the whole time but that's ok.

The next couple of weekends are packed full also, as we'll head to New York for our last wedding of the year! Then the weekend after we'll be camping in the Berkshires, so be on the look out for some more of the Orange Monster
