Tomorrow Luca will be 4 weeks old, and he will have been in the hospital for his life span of 28 days. It's been a hard past couple of days, as last week he pulled out his feeding tube from his nose! They decided to leave it out, thinking that he might do well enough with only bottles that he wouldn't need the feeding tube anymore, it was so exciting. Unfortunately they had to put it back in yesterday because he wasn't taking as much milk in his bottle as he was supposed to. The little guy gets too tired and poops out to quick. The doctors and nurses keep telling me all of this is normal, and that he's doing really well for his age. So I have to just keep patient and let him progress at his own pace. He is also still having dips in his heart rate at times, which is scary.
Every time I drive away from the hospital after visiting him, a piece of my heart is left behind. I just CAN'T WAIT until all of this is behind us and we can have him home with us
