Happy New Year!

So, it has kinda become our annual family tradition to do New Years Eve at our house with our friends the Ottavianos and the Bentzels. I mean, we did the same thing with the same friends last year so it's legit that we call it our 2nd annual New Years Eve get together right? It is a drastic change to how Mike and I used to spend New Years Eve (short pause for reflection……sigh) but so fun to have friends over!! Just like last year, we were able to wait until midnight to watch the ball drop, but shortly after we all headed straight to bed (again, short pause to reflect on how New Years used to be.... sigh).

This year the kids were as CRAZY as ever, making it till midnight right along with us! Well, Vince was getting sick so he didn't make it.... but Ramona and Aaron, watch out!

The next morning was followed again by a tasty breakfast of pancakes and sausage, and then settling in to watch the Rose Parade. Ok, maybe I was the only one freaking out about watching the Rose Parade.... it's my time to get a bit homesick for California as the parade route was just over the hill from where I grew up. Mike just puts up with me and keeps the Mimosa's coming.
