An Escape from the Winter Chill

Yesterday we headed to Danvers to check out the Coco Key water park. It was the perfect one day get away from all the rain/snow/slush and pure cold that's taken over here. We've been waiting for this day for almost a month now, and the anticipation/wait paid off! It was SO MUCH FUN running around in bare feet and a bathing suit all day!! We got there before it opened, waiting to bust the doors down to get into the giant warm building that held water slides and water park fun. It made it easy to forget about the snow coming down outside that's for sure! And it was super fun dressing Zoë up in a little bikini!! so cute!

Let the fun begin! Max and Vince held hands as they ran in to see all the craziness of the water slides

Sitting outside our 'cabana' with my little peeps....

Vince and Daddy take a dip in the little pool

Hanging out on the 'beach' with a little bathing beauty! (cement beach that is, haha!)

Mike took Vince on a ride around the Lazy River

Lunch Time!

Time to Layout and check out the other babies.....

The toddler pool has some fun mini water slides, which of course Vince didn't want to have any part of. As I said before, he's not the most daring little boy. He did see his buddy Max go down the slide about 100 times though, and finally he decided he wanted to try it. I was so excited I couldn't believe it. So up the stairs we marched, with the plan of going down, until he decided to abort the mission at the top of the slide. Well, I have to admit that I just pretended to not hear his plea to get off the slide...so I gave a little push.... and before he knew it... down the slide he went!! (is that mean?!) I'll be happy to report he was all smiles once he got down to the pool, laughing and coughing up pool water, screaming how much fun it was. He just needed a little help I guess.

If you ever plan on going to this place, I would definitely recommend getting the cabana... it TOTALLY helps when you have little kids and lots of stuff. Although we did go during school break, and it was totally sold out, so maybe it's usually not as crazy?

Snack Break!

They were all completely exhausted at the end of the day, Vince was clearly done

It was a bit difficult walking back into winter after a day of fun inside, I want to run back there until May.... hopefully the next couple months go fast!

Totplex Tumblers

Vince isn't the most daring 2 year old I know. He's of the more cautious type, looking before he leaps, trying to plan it out, or simply not choosing the risky play but rather going to play with his trains instead. He's not a big climber, in fact he hasn't thought to climb out of his crib yet (which is why we haven't bothered with a bed yet).

We enrolled him in a tumbling class in hopes of getting him interested in some jumping around, and mainly just for the fun interaction with other kids. I usually don't get to take him to the class because he goes on a day I am at work. However, with all the snow days we've had the past few weeks, his classes were canceled a few times.... so I got to take him to a make up class last Monday. It was so cute to watch my little man tumble around and do rolls!

Vince's turn for tumbling!

More Zoë Tricks

Here's a series of 3 clips showing the newest tricks our little girl can do. I finally got a small movie of her saying "dada"..... hopefully you'll hear it in the first clip. Then the second one is her new little hand wave that she likes doing. She's practicing for her Rose Queen position in the Rose Parade some day ;). Then lastly she is showing off her jumping skills. I think that one is my favorite by far. Why do I feel like it's the most amazing and wonderful thing ever when I see her jump around in her jumparoo.... where if I saw another baby do it I would think.. eh, I guess that's cute. It's so funny how biased a mommy can be! But check it out, it is pretty darn cute:

Second (and third... fourth..) Kid Syndrome

When I look back at how much more I logged milestones for Vince, it makes me feel guilty! I don't want to be that mom that has journals/albums/keepsakes for everything about the first child... with the other kids being left with just a few pictures here and there. Zoë turned 7 months old on Monday, and it came and went without very much attention. I did take a few videos of her... attempting to capture her newest trick where she says "dada". It sounds more like her practicing vowels and sounds, but it definitely sounds like she's saying Dada! Still trying to get it on video. Until then, here's the best I can do with a few mile stones...
