Weekend in New York

This weekend we paid a visit to Mike's family in New York and got to spend some time with the family dog Maxie, as well as Mike's sister and her family that were visiting from Atlanta.

Maxie is growing so quickly and isn't a puppy anymore, but she is still as cute as ever. She gets spoiled in that house but she's not spoiled rotten, she's such a cute and loving dog. We accidentally dropped a pot lid on the kitchen floor and she spent about a 1/2 hour attacking it and making the biggest racket I've ever heard (while Mike was trying to sleep). She would attack the lid and then get scared of it as it made noise. Here's a video:

While we went out shopping for maternity clothes and baby clothes, Mike convinced his niece Noelle that she should try and use this flower pot as a chair to sit in. She tried hard to fit into it!

Barefoot and Pregnant in the Kitchen

According to my husband, this is what every Italian man wants....

I can tell you what my husband is getting so far: a tired wife that is starting to waddle around like a duck, and insists that ice cream and cereal is an appropriate dinner.

Nice close up of my disappearing belly button, week 31:

Visit with Tayeb and Iman

Last weekend we went to visit our friends Jocelyn and Amine who just had twins, one boy and one girl! We think we'll be busy with one baby in the house, try having two! Joc and Amine appeared well rested however, and their family is a happy one, with two cute little ones! Amine gave me some good advice that I should wake up Mike each time I get up and pee through the night (about 3-4 times) so Mike gets used to repeatedly being awakened through the night. I love that idea! Mike didn't seem to keen on it. As Amine was describing what it is like to have to wake up several times a night, he had this most serious concerned look on his face... you could tell he's probably been through some long nights already!

Here's a picture of little Tayeb, so cute!

Mike is getting some practice feeding Iman, she was hungry too!
Naomi and I attempting to comfort both the babies, you can see that I'm doing a great job with Tayeb....

We have a bathroom again!

Here are some pictures of our new bathroom vanity, medicine chest, and light fixture... We finally got the granite counter top and sink put in on Friday so we now have a fully functional bathroom again! Mike has been planning on doing this project for a few years now, and we're happy that it was done before the baby came. Now he doesn't have any excuses not to work on the baby's room!

Not much other exciting news to report; we had our two day crash course birthing class this weekend. It was a lot of information over a short period of time, but it should do.

Here's some pictures of our bathroom:
